• The PCM50CV MPPT controller is a special customized version of our PCM5048/8048/CX series chargers.  The main purpose of this special charger is to target industrial applications of energy systems that use 48V, 72V, 96V or 120VDC high voltage battery systems.  The max PV input voltage on this model is raised to 480VDC (open circuit voltage) and the MPPT range is now as follows:

  • 48V system: 64 ~ 384VDC
  • 72V system: 96 ~ 384VDC
  • 96V system: 128 ~ 384VDC
  • 120V system: 160 ~ 384VDC

  The maximum charging current of the 50CV is capped at 50A, and based on equalization charge of 160V on 120VDC systems, a single unit of this charger can support up to 8KW of PV array max!

  With 50CV, customers no longer need to rely on expensive grid or generator charging; also, capable of charging 120VDC batteries, users can avoid the adverse long-term effect of “split charging” of a battery system, which will lead to internal imbalance over time.
