  • Available in 12KW and 15KW output, the MPI 12KW/15KW WP is the latest IP65 model to MPP Solar Hybrid family.  Maximum PV array support now is 16KW on both models and max charging current is up to 300A (MPI 15KW WP). Similar to the MPI 10K , they also offer 3 primary modes:

    IP65 WP Installation Guidance

    • do NOT install units on sites where there is direct exposure to sunlight, rain, snow, >95% humidity, near antenna or at altitude >2km above sea level

    Using Generator as AC-Input

    • Generator power is recommended to be 50% larger than the inverter rating to reduce chances of overload.
    • Inverter-generator is recommended due to its cleaner output than conventional generators.  Unsuitable generator output may be rejected by the inverter.
    • When using generator as AC input – grid injection must be DISABLED.

    IMPORTANT

    1. accessories such as Energy Meter, Modbus Card, and Modbus Server are all optional and may be purchased separately to establish energy meter application.
    2. Energy meter does not support parallel operation (load sharing) so when connecting multiple inverters to the energy meter, parallel function needs to be disabled.

  • These optional accessories may be sourced separately to fulfill “zero grid injection”.   Note – when using energy meter, the inverter must be programmed in Grid-Tie with Backup II mode and this also works only in single-unit operation, not parallel.
