MPI Hybrid Series


  • The MPI Hybrid Series solar inverter offers great versatility in both GRID-TIED and OFF-GRID applications.  Available in 5KW, 5.5KW (single phase) and 10KW (three phase) output, the MPI hybrid series has extended support of PV input up to 14.85kw maximum (MPI 10k).  This benefits users in maximum grid feedback and still leaves enough energy for powering load or charging batteries.  Maximum PV input voltage (open circuit) is up to 900V and this provides users more flexibility in using wider range of panels.

    The hybrid inverters offer 3 main modes of operation:

    Here are some notable features of the HYBRID family:

    Lithium battery compatible (Pylontech)

    Applicable to all models in the MPI hybrid family, they are now fully compatible with Pylontech’s US2000b plus lithium battery via RS485 communication card (sold separately). Please refer to tab page “catalog” and check out RS485 documentation.

    Grid Boost (grid-relay enable)

    All hybrid models feature a special extended load support beyond their rated power through grid power boost — when grid-relay is connected.  Please contact our sales team if you would like to find out the specific modes of operation which support this unique feature.  Despite such capability, please note the inverter’s normal maximum output rating and do not go beyond this.  Also, exercise caution when applying inductive type load since they can draw very high surge.  Careless or improper usage of inverter beyond its rating will shorten its lifespan and failure as a result will not be covered under warranty.

    Dual AC Input-- Grid + Generator (5K only)

    Available only on MPI 5K, dual AC input for Grid + Generator is now possible.  Genset starter dry contact is also a standard feature on these models, and in the absence of grid, users may use the dry contact to send activation signal to generator for battery charging and load backup.  Inverter-type generators must be used instead of conventional generators to avoid incompatibility.

    Parallel Operation (5K, 10K only)

    Only on MPI 5K, and 10K, this feature allow users to set up parallel units of up to 6 units, greatly increasing the maximum power output to accommodate wider range of application. All accessories are included and there is no need for any parallel kit.

    IMPORTANT

    1. accessories such as Energy Meter, Modbus Card, and Modbus Server are all optional and may be purchased separately to establish energy meter application.
    2. Energy meter does not support parallel operation (load sharing) so when connecting multiple inverters to the energy meter, parallel function needs to be disabled.
