• Based on the same architecture, the PIP-MSD/MST series is a newly enhanced version of the PIP-MS/MSX series.  The main new features of this series include:

  • Multiple MPPT Input —  2X (MSD Series) and 3X (MST Series)
    
  • MC4 PV Connectors (available only on 12v and 24v models at this time)
    
  • Enhanced PCB Coating
  • Enhanced Charging Power
    

  In the MSD/MST series, there are 5 models available:

  • 5048MST (5KW/48VDC, 3xPV input, max 180A)
    
  • 5048MSD (5KW/48VDC, 2xPV input, max 120A)
  • 2424MSD (2.4KW/24VDC, 2xPV input, max 80A)
  • 2448MSD (2.45KW/48VDC, 2xPV input, max 40A)
  • 1212MSD (1.2KW/12VDC, 2xPV input, max 80A)

  These new changes focus on providing upgrades to the existing inbuilt MPPT solar charger and raises the solar charging current up to 80A for 12v/24v models, and up to 180A max on 48V models.   Maximum utility charging also increases up to 60A for all models.  The addition of MC4 connectors allow faster and more secure connections to solar panels, and the internal PCBs have been applied with additional protective coating for use in harsh or dusty environment. These improvements allow batteries to be charged up more efficiently and also enhances the versatility of application of this inverter. MSD/MST also retains the ability to support parallel operation and will work only with the same model name.

  Using Generator as AC-Input

  • Generator power is recommended to be 50% larger than the inverter rating to reduce chances of overload.
  • Inverter-generator is recommended due to its cleaner output than conventional generators.  Unsuitable generator output may be rejected by the inverter.
