• The PIP-MS/MSX series is very similar to the PIP-HS series inverter-charger, except that it offers a built-in MPPT solar charger (up to 80A) and is now available in 12v, 24v and 48v models from 800W to 4KW.  The built-in MPPT solar charger can support PV array up to 4kw max (80amp). The MS/MSX 48v series also features a dual source charging capability (AC + Solar) and the max charging current from both sources are up to 140A.

  PIP-MS/MSX features a wide input range support from 90~280VAC (Appliance Mode) and 170~280V (UPS Mode). This is especially important and useful for areas with unstable grid power supply. Similar to our other series of solar inverter-charger, PIP-MS/MSX also offers AC or DC (solar) priority modes, and the controls can be easily modified from LCD menu that offers comprehensive system information. It also comes with a USB port that can be connected to a PC for system monitoring.  When selected to operate in DC (solar) priority mode, inverter will increase charging current from Solar source whenever possible, while reducing current from utility sources.

  PIP-MS now features a “stackable” or “parallel” version (applicable to identical 48v same model name only ) which allows users to expand output of an inverter system by integrating the output circuits of each individual unit.  Maximum parallel number of units is now upgraded to 9, so users can configure a parallel system either as:

  • Single phase output up to 24kw using 6 units (maximum 9 units), OR
  • Three phase output using either 3 units (12kw) or max 6 units (24kw)

  PIP-MSX is a special model which features the upgrade of internal MPPT charger from 25A to 60A.  This currently applies only to 1.6kw and 2.4kw model.

  Using Generator as AC-Input

  • Generator size should be sized at least 150% larger than the inverter rating to reduce chances of overload.
  • Inverter-generator is recommended due to its cleaner output than conventional generators.  Unsuitable generator output may be rejected by the inverter.
